Ulun Danu Beratan complex consists of 5 temples
1. Pura Penataran Agung (Penataran Agung Temple)
Pura Penataran Agung
can be seen when passing Bentar Temple (Separate gate) to Beratan. This
temple serves to worship the greatness of God in His manifestations as the
Shiva's Si Purwaa, Sada Siva, and Parama Shiva to invoke the grace of
fertility, prosperity, human welfare, and for the balance of the universe.
2. Pura Dalem Purwa (Dalem
Purwa Temple)
Inside this temple, there are three main pelinggih (shrines) namely
Pelinggih Dalem Purwa as a place to worship the Goddess Durga and God Rudra who
is revered as a source of prosperity, Bale Murda Manik (Bale Pemaruman) as a
place for parum / meeting / discussion, and Bale Panjang as a place to
put the ceremonial offering facilities.
3. Pura Taman Beji (Taman
Beji Temple)
This temple serves to perform the ceremony
Ngebejiang (ritual purification ceremonial), and to invoke Tirta (holy water).
In Pura Taman Beji this also serves as a place for Melasti (cleansing and
Purifying ceremony by Hindus in Bali) for the surrounding community and local
people.
4. Pura Lingga Petak (Lingga Petak Temple)
This temple is often called the Ulun Danu
Beratan Temple, and the image of this temple is also contained on the banknote
of Rp. 50,000. Inside the Lingga Temple There is a sacred and sacred
well that Storing Tirta Ulun Danu (Ulun Danu Holy Water). In addition,
in this temple there is also a white Linga which is flanked by red stone and
black stone.
5. Pura
Prajapati (Prajapati Temple)
Pura Prajapati is located under a large banyan tree, this temple serves as
a place of goddess Durga. Pelinggih (Shrines) is facing west and become the first
temple in view after passing through the ticket box before entering the area of
Lake Bratan.
